So, it took one online radio show, two months, four bake sales, 20 blog posts, 5000 flyers and a crap load of disney junk, but we managed to make some money for Oxfam. About £600 pounds in the end. And it's all thanks to you guys and your burning desire to hear good folk and win giant Stitch toys.
Big special thanks go to our cake baking selling friends, families and famous chefs who helped us raise additional funds and ofcourse to local business pals Hell Pizza at the Star & Askew, Outsider Tart and the The Duke of Sussex, who helped us out with raffle prizes.
But none could have been done without our four excellent bands ofcourse. Run Toto Run will be back in town very soon, 6 day riot are on a UK tour as we speak and Alessi and Reid will be hosting an excellent Christmas bash in Kilburn (with both their full bands) on Dec 10th.
Are you excited sweetpeas? Because by george, I sure am. With only a few days left to go y'all better remember to get yourselves down to Ginglik on Monday night for OxBush, where we promise you a great night of music and competitions with all proceeds going to Oxfam. We have Alessi’s Ark, Run Toto Run, 6 days riot and the Oh, Inverted World Dj’s.
And if that wasn't enough for you dear readers, the full ADN Project OXJAM special from our online radio pals is now available for your listening pleasure right here, where you can sample tunes from the almighty OxBush line-up and there's even a couple of interviews with the bands:
And remember every ticket bought comes bundled with a bonus ticket for our epic raffle, rife with a medley of excellent prizes. The FIRST PRIZE being three, yes three Disney day passes at the Disney resort of your choice. Be it Paris or Florida, the choice could be yours! Got your attention? Our other prizes include:
SECOND PRIZE: Goodies donated by our delightful line-up from Alessi herself, Run Toto Run and 6 Day Riot. THIRD PRIZE: 2 x tickets at the Curzon Soho FOURTH PRIZE: 4 x guestlist tickets to super club Fabric
…and there’s plenty more. We've even got local businesses Hell Pizza at the Star & Askew in Sheperd's Bush and Outsider Tart involved. And wine from our friends at The Duke of Sussex.
…and there’s plenty more to come lovers.
And finally dear readers, here some videos of the bands playing. Now remember doors open at 7pm, with Run Toto Run kick starting the evening at 8pm. Tickets are £6 in advance & £7 on the door.
4 days to go till our 4 bands take over ginglik....
Excite.
Also, local hero and music super-journo, Sandy 'disco infiltrator' Dahliwal gave us a shout out on her excellent Music portal over at the London Informer.
Awesome site armed with seemingly boundless energy and knowledge. A must read for all you london based musical types.
Sadly, Alessi wasn't able to feature on the ADN projects show as she was over in New York, playing the painfully excellent CMJ Music Marathon and Film Festival.
Thankfully, the kids over at Strangeglue caught up with her and their chit chat on music, pizza and woody harrelson can be found right heeeere.
Something wonderful happened today. listen&follow and The ADN Project have joined forces to promote OxBush's excellent line up. With the Oxjam special radio show in production and OxBush at Ginglik imminent, the ADN lads met with Run Toto Run's Rachel and Treetop Flyer's Reid Morrison to discuss their musical influences, their excitement at the upcoming event and playing with Alessi's Ark. And even though the full show is yet to come, featuring music from both bands, you can check out their blog for a preview of the show and the band's interviews.

Having gathered together a shockingly good amalgamation of lineups consisting of plenty of independent acts, with both old and new faces across the river, they both promise a ridiculously exciting Sunday packed with a variety of activities, with out forgetting we're throwing these parties in the first place...
HERE & NOW: Climate Change Costs Lives. Let’s Sort It. Here & Now.
All proceeds from Oxjam 2009 will contribute to Oxfam's Here and Now campaign. The Here and Now campaign is helping in the following ways:
Dealing with Disaster; Climate change is causing more frequent and more severe natural disasters, with devastating consequences for poor people. Immediate, life-saving support is a vital part of Oxfam's work.
Holding Back Hunger; Unpredictable weather – caused by climate change – means poor people can no longer grow enough food, and many are going hungry.
Fighting For A Fair Deal; World leaders must support poor people in their fight against the devastating effects of climate change.

And whilst we're diverting from the OxBush event kids, this week listen&follow have been busy making more OxJam friends and would like to draw your attention to an event taking place at The Slaughtered Lamb on the Sunday 27 October, where doors will open at 7:30pm and tickets will cost you £5 if bought in advance from here, or £6 on the door.
I usually just tweak with the code for this site and help out with bits and bobs, apart from the cake sales, because I can't cook and my friends will cuss me for walking around with a tray of baked goods.
You lucky people have the OxBush gig to look forward to onNovember 2nd, but what are you going to be doing the following week? Hopefully coming to a night me and my comrades at Lafonoteca are putting on at the Legion on Old St, Thursday November 12th.
We are privileged to be bringing over Delorean for their first London show and this will be big. Already getting great reviews in the Guardian and Pitchfork, we are sure they will be blowing up soon.
Best of all about the gig, we aren't charging for the show. It's free, yes FREE! Tell all your friends and pack it out. The Aryton Senna EP is out now, so go get yourself a copy. Support comes from the Siegfried Sassoon and One Unique Signal, plus an art show from Daniel Mayrit. This will be packed out, so get down early.
Sunday 18th October: Night and Day ITC Showcase: Oldham Street. 1.20pm Stage Time
Monday 19th October: We'll be supporting the Noisettes in Leeds at the University Stylus.
Go Toto, Go Toto, Go.

October is here and it's OxJam festival time lovelies, listen&follow would proudly like to present to you OxBush, taking place in West London’s Ginglik, Shepherd’s Bush, on the 2nd of November 2009, all in the name of super charity, Oxfam.
With the delicious Alessi’s Ark head lining, there'll also be support from much talked about 6 day riot and the lovely electro pop stylings of Run Toto Run, with a special solo set from Treetop Flyers frontman Reid Morisson, with Dj antics from the Oh, Inverted World guys. Wow mama!
Tickets £6 in advance, and £7 on the door. On sale here.
Music is great non? I know you agree and I needn't say any more. Watch this video. It was recently pointed out to by a rather close friend of mine that they failed to build a slide over the escalators- the involvement of slide=fun X20. Regardless of this fact and even if we all prefer slides to stairs, I though THIS was very good.
My goodness Oxjammers, what a week it’s been for the OXBUSH collective. Run Toto Run have been busy at the Round House and the Oh, Inverted World Dj’s were busy last night at the Hoxton Bar & Grill.
We have a poster and oh my, what a poster! And now ticket s are also available for sale.
listen&follow have also been busy drinking their way around West London and will be busy over the weekend admiring OXBUSH poster designer Jenism's skills at Mutate Britain’s event 'One Foot in the Grove on Saturday', and on Sunday will be watching a Mesrine Double Bill at the Riverside Studios in Hammersmith.
We’ve also been making friends with fellow Oxjammers OxTram, for details of their gig check out their poster below.
Get involved! Get excited. For a review of the weekends activities, updates on the line-up, check us out on Monday
the nice folk at WeGotTickets are donating half of the booking fee back to Oxfam. And as they don't send paper tickets out, it's one of the cheaper (and greener I suppose) ones out there.
Go see Run Toto Run support White Belt Yellow Tag at the Roundhouse Studio on Wednesday, it's only seven pounds and a fifty pence piece. TIX Be sure to conserve some of that energy juice for Thursday night though, when the listen&follow kids will be down at Oh, Inverted World's always awesome night in Hoxton. 8pm till 1 at Hoxton Bar and Kitchen. Come dance hard with us to.......... GAGGLE CLOCK OPERA SO SAY SO LA SHARK JOSH WELLER DJ SET! wow mama. it's 4 quids cheap.
As if that weren't enough, PIXIES on friday. THE PIXIES.
Some of you may be old enough to remember, way back a couple of weeks ago, a time when 6 Day Riot were proud members of our line up. They sadly went missing when we were forced to change the date and venue. We lost them in the move.
But they found their way back to us anyway! It is with much joy that I announce the triumphant return of 6 Day Riot.
Welcome home.
Come let's have a little folk-pop dance.

A fine night was had at the Lexington last night. Our chums the Treetop Flyers celebrated their new fangled EP with a sold out show in the lovely north london boozer.
We turned up a little too late for The Epstien who opened, but I heard much positive rumblings and their myspace has some nice good ol' time boys tunes going down on it.
So, no, we rolled in late and pushed our way to the front just in time for Alessi's fantastic ode to the taken boy, Over The Hill. She powered through her set despite a nasty looking cold (liam galagher take note.) playing such greats as The Dog and Robot. She closed with Hummingbird, a beautiful, delicate one that had the whole room captivated by it's end.
The room was buzzing (and completely rammed) by the time Treetop Flyers took the stage. Kicking off with a fine harmonius full band singsong the boys then took up their respective positions and rocked their folky repetoire to an enthralled crowd. They're playing London lots, so go see them so that you'll know all the words by the time OXBUSH rolls around.
Head over to Stayloose where you can listen to the fantastic debut EP, To Bury The Past.
listen&follow proudly present OXBUSH, as part of the forthcoming collection of Oxjam events, but this time based in West London’s Ginglik, Shepherd's Bush, on the 2nd of November 2009. With the deliciousAlessi's Ark head lining, supported by the much talked about Treetop Flyers and the lovely electro pop stylings ofRun Toto Run. And with festivities concluding with a mouth-watering set from the Oh, Inverted World DJs, we promise you an evening rife with fun, folk and electro pop, all in the name of super charity, Oxfam.
For now, you can get more information about the line up on myspace, but we promise you more information very very soon, with weekly blogs and updates about the bands, OXJAM and listen&follow, West London duo beck & dave;
